Message from the President

Assalamualaikum!

My name is Candice Abdelrahim and I am the GIA PTA President for 2007 – 2008 school year. I just want to take this time to say Thank You to everyone that has made the GIA PTA happen this school year and for all the support you have given us on making the GIA PTA happen, Alhamdulillah.

Also, I would like to say that the next few months will be very busy. The school has many plans for the children, like the Outreach Program from the Natural Science Center of Greensboro, Movie Day, Field Day and even more Bake Sales!

So, please come and join the GIA PTA. With new faces and fresh ideas, we can do a lot for our children at GIA.

Join the GIA PTA!

I would like to remind those who have not paid the PTA fees for this academic calendar year (2007-2008) to do ASAP! We have a lot of plans for the remaining 5 months of school. The PTA fees help our kids a lot. The PTA annual fee is just $10.00 per family. So, please, if you haven’t signed up, please come and sign up. We need you PARENTS to help make this happen. Any and ALL Help is needed.

Our First Bake Sale

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who helped the PTA/GIA Bake Sale happen. If it weren’t for you, we would have never raised $438.00. The funds that we have raised from the PTA fees and the Bake Sale have helped us buy EID gifts for the children and teachers as well as the children’s trip to Bounce U.

Box Tops Project

I would like to thank everyone who has helped collect the Box Tops’ labels for the school. With all the hard work you and your children have done in the past months, the GIA PTA has received our first check from Box Tops for $43.30. Alhamdulillah!

So, please do not throw away Box Top labels and please continue to bring them to school. The more we collect these labels, the more funds we will receive for the GIA children. Please help them in this project.

Our PTA meetings are always on a Wednesday. Please let me know when is a good time for you to come - morning or afternoon. Please let me know a.s.a.p!
