Greensboro Islamic Academy (GIA) shall be guided by the
Qur’an and Sunnah. Through the teaching of Islamic
and Academic courses, GIA shall:
Prepare students for the challenges
of this life and the Hereafter
Help students achieve excellence in
education and a strong Muslim identity
Meet or exceed the goals of the North
Carolina Standard Course of Study and the National Educational
Goals
Exhibit high moral and exemplary citizenship
as a staff and a student body.
In order to achieve these goals, GIA shall:
Provide an Islamic and professional
learning environment
Foster brotherhood/sisterhood amongst
its students
Maintain its status as a recognized
private school as outlined within the general statutes
of the State of North Carolina.
Seek accreditation as soon as is feasible
to do so.
To achieve this mission, GIA works in partnership with
parents, the local community and anyone interested in furthering
the Islamic education of our young Muslim brothers and sisters.
